THE TEAM

Tim Moran

Tim is the Chairman of Bristol & Bath Cyber, and also Founder and CEO of LuJam Cyber. An ex Cold War Submariner, he now has 30 years’ experience in IT Networking, Cyber Security and Cyber Intelligence.

Tim previously held senior sales management roles within the finance sector at Cisco, Juniper and VeriSign before entering the world of start-ups in 2009. Gaining valuable experience in three early stage cyber businesses, Tim decided to go it alone founding LuJam Cyber in 2014. Using cloud based data science, LuJam provides jargon free, active cyber protection and compliance solutions targeted at small businesses, charities, supply chains, home workers and networks of IoT/IIoT.

Lisa Forte   Lisa left one of the UK Police Cyber-Crime Units to start her own company, Red Goat Cyber Security with the goal of reflecting the techniques and methodologies actually being employed by hackers. Lisa specialises in social engineering, intelligence gathering and cyber-attack wargaming.  She is an established keynote speaker and is hired to speak at major conferences around the world.  Lisa volunteers to run the social media and promotions side of Bristol and Bath Cyber and cares about making the west country a great place to start tech businesses.  As a women in cyber herself she is passionate about attracting more women into this hugely rewarding sector. Simon Minton    Having spent 15+ years in Cyber Security, Simon is keen to help the cyber industry become more diverse & inclusive.   He's very excited about the emerging UK cyber startup scene and cross pollination of cyber with other disciplines (AI, biometrics, psychology etc) and is involved with multiple tech startups in Bristol & beyond. Dirk Van Der Linden   Dr. Dirk van der Linden is Senior Research Associate at University of Bristol. Marie Caruso   Marie has been working in the IT sector for 25 years. She is currently the Sales & Marketing Manager at Arcanum, an NCSC accredited company who provide cyber security consultancy to organisations ranging from the MoD through to charities and SMEs.  Marie has expertise in a wide range of IT security disciplines including secure IT asset disposal, penetration testing and security assurance consulting. She has acted as a consultant to UK Government and has successfully managed contracts for global banks, high street retailers and the MoD. He is currently the MD of TechSPARK the Southwest’s network for tech start up and scale ups working with 25,000 people a month to help them recruit, network and raise capital in the UK’s most productive Tech cluster (TechNation 2018)  Prior to working for TechSPARK, Ben worked in consultancy with businesses opening new sites internationally.
